Longeviti Neuro Solutions is a Baltimore based neurotechnology company with a focus on innovative surgical solutions for complex brain surgeries. The team, that was assembled by Christopher in three-short years, has been successful bringing two FDA-cleared neurosurgical implants to market, has 25 patents in various stages of approval, and is the first company to offer neurosurgical implants that address the complex clinical need, “Where can we safely implant this neurotechnology?”
Longeviti will be the first company to offer implants that both restore cranial shape to normalcy while housing functional implant therapies such as stimulation, drainage (shunts), and monitoring. The company’s collaboration with Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins University provides Longeviti with key market advantages, including working with its new discipline of neuroplastic surgery towards commercial innovations. Neuroplastic surgery was created to specifically address growing global unmet neurosurgical needs.
“In the not too distant past, when patients contemplated undergoing neurosurgery, they often were more concerned about their survival than potential deformities, scars, lumps, or bumps left behind after the surgery,” said Christopher. “Now that outcomes are improving, patients are more confident in their chances of making it through surgery to remove tumors, relieve swelling, or implant medical devices, but they also have additional priorities—they want to look the way they did prior to the surgery.”
InvisiShunt’s innovative design and placement capabilities restore the natural contour of patients’ craniums without any cosmetic abnormalities. Because InvisiShunt is an off-the-shelf product, surgeons do not require CT scan data of a patient’s skull to implement it. They can safely and easily augment the device during a complicated surgery. “According to a survey of 562 Hydrocephalus patients conducted by Johns Hopkins, over 72 percent of neurosurgical patients experience pain with their shunt. Up until now, this was an undocumented issue. InvisiShunt is the solution to this and many other problems,” said Christopher.
According to Christopher, Longeviti is uniquely positioned in the marketplace for implant accommodation (a Longeviti term for finding anatomical space for batteries, pumps, and other vital hardware) for neurological disorders.

“We seem to be the only company thinking about where to put this technology,” said Christopher.
Longeviti’s InvisiShunt has helped numerous patients lead a higher quality of life after complex neurosurgery. Christopher recalls the case of a Hydrocephalus patient who went through nine revision surgeries that ultimately reduced the vascularity of the patient’s skin. Consequently, it became almost impossible to close the wound. Coming to the rescue was the company’s InvisiShunt that helped surgeons successfully carry out the procedure. Today, the patient is fit and leading a comfortable life without facing any post-surgery complication.
